Hello all,
Kinda new to the forum. Just looking to get some feedback with regards to picking up the soprano sax.
I played alto sax YEARS ago and moved on to trumpet. havent played anything for the past ten years (25 here), so i know that playing ANYthing would require patience, etc. However, i have always wanted to learn soprano sax. I was thinking about purchasing one soon, but curious to know if there are any brands that anyone would recommend. Its funny because I read what a lot of folks had to say about the soprano sax, being a bit more to handle than say an alto or tenor sax, and i am starting to think that maybe i am being a bit "ambitious". i honestly just dont want to look back and regret never trying.

I've played before on a soprano sax and I must tell you that the challenge of it is intonation or tuning. The embochure is of course a little tighter than the alto and you must be a good listener to keep it in tune. So, it is a little challenging.
I like Selmer brand personally; however, Yamaha is a good brand also. So, either those two in my opinion.
