... Master (Dominon - oversee completion of course)
... Disciple (Student/Discipline - one whom follows through)
"Anyone can begin something. It takes discipline to finish.
And those who muster the daily discipline to finish learn that
there is tremendous FREEDOM in starting and sticking with
something.
In Discipline Lies Freedom - but why? Discipline gives you
freedom because you are no longer the victim of every
whim, worry or weirdo that comes along. You have the
freedom to get on a path and stay on it without being
side-tracked with distractions.
Ask yourself - have you finished what you've started..." (- excert from a martial arts training newsletter)
The above excert struck a chord in me on some things I have been discussing and taking personal examination/inventory of in my life recently. IN my now 33 years what have I finished?
(paraphrased) and HE said it is finished hung HIS head and gave up the ghost
HE didn't give up before it was finished... Think on it, this relates to your instrument (which we should master) , and your purpose and every good work to walk in dominon (mastery) .
- Be Blessed

You guys, don't allow this to become another movtivational speech that falls on deaf ear.

He knew his work. When it was FINISHED, he gave up the Ghost.
Those 3 points are incredible.
Knowing what we are supposed to do. Achieving it. And then returning into the Arms or our Father.
That is what my Pastor has been teaching. Finding our Purpose.
and to add another point, if I may Sabe.
Jealousy.....How does Jealousy appear? Jealousy is simple. Jealousy comes forth when someone is not in their place.
Thanks Sabe. I needed that.
God bless.

That was some really serious knowledge. Thanks A lot for that, I really need it

Mirror study. Mirror study. What do I see before me? Let the mask(s) go and build on the dominion in me to cultivate mastery. Thanks Sabe….
Sharing…. Last night I attended a celebration with someone who was commemorating “7” years clean. In conversing and listening to some of the story been shared, these men and women have to surface their weak spots in the mist of society for their weakness is on every corner in America. They must erect to their dominion for mastery---for the battle has just begun---
Though I am not in their shoes, I still could relate to the lack there of in specific areas. This gathering shook me up for self-empowerment, which left me pondering last night and today on the things that I need to build in my life. SK posted this to adjoin into my mirror study… Yes!
You guys, don't allow this to become another movtivational speech that falls on deaf ear.
Second emotion...

Those are some powerful words.

You know what Sabe... LOL, I am going to take all of your posts, make a portfolio, and name it SabianKnight; Drummer, Mentor, Teacher, Servant (of God of course).... Sell it on eBay and gove you 90% (less 10% cause now I am your manager LOL ;D) You make this point clear... I dont visit the drummer room much, but when I do read your posts, I can see myself, and how I can help my other drummers out!!!
Discipline is a hard thing for me sometimes, cause I like to go against the grain, on purpose sometimes. It's hard for me to be submissive. But I will examine Me... B_X... (in my Blankman voice)... Yeeeeeeaaaahhhhhh.

Excellent stuff man. I had all but given up playing drums at my church due to some issues but you've inspired me to pick up the sticks again.
I played for the first time yesterday at church in a few monthes and it felt good. I could feel God using me in the service(s). I had been debating whether or not to continue playing drums there and prayed for God to give me some direction....looks like I got my answer. Regardless of what may come, I will never quite. Thanks for the motivation, I pray that you're blessed 10 times over for the inspiration you've provided us.
God Bless,
-J

Sabe,
that is real stuff... Oh how happy is the man who meditates on the Word of God and humbles himself and seeks HIs face. I takes more than self disipline. The Lord promised to send His holy spirit to empower us to do the things that our natural man cannot. The Word says " its not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord." I personally fail when I am trying to accomplish something in the flesh. Not my will by yours be done. That is where we all need to be totally surrendered to His will in our lives. Jesus remarked that we need to lose our lives to gain life!!!!
-
Wonderful! :D God Bless you Sabe!
