Title: does any1 know?

iight got a Q.  does any1 acually know what the average range is for the differerce


Soprano               
Mezzo-soprano 
Contralto  (alto) etc.

I was just tryna figure out a female tenor, and what the difference is from an alto.    (i tried sing at C3, and boi did my throat hurt, way too low)

I play the keyboard but donīt understand those term.can somebody explaine pls?

oh  I see. thnk you.  Im guessing sapranos can go alot higher on average like up to F6?

newayz, im guessing im a mezzo, cos my speaking voice is at A3, but my range (acording to myself lol ;D  :D aint ever had voice trainin) is F3 - A5.

PLease how do one select all this ranges on the keyboard? I donīt know for example what a C4 is.or A5 or A3
I know what is a C,A,F,G,E .... but what are the 4 and 3 and 2 etc. are this octave or what?
I was not in a music school.
Pls some body help.

well you have C,D,E,F,G,A,B, when you get back to see your in the next octive.

so the first set(starting from the lowest end) would be C0,D0,E0,F0,G0,A0,B0, then on to C1,D1,E1,F1,G1,A1,B1  and so on, all the way up the keyboard.

the number represents the octive number.
