I found this clip and thought it was rather nice. Hope it's not a repost.

This makes me think back a few years ago when I went to a drum clinic here in Nashville with J.D. Blair. I parked my car and got out. An SUV pulls in next to me. Who gets out? Victor Wooten. Then he got his bass out and put it over his shoulder. Needless to say, I got excited. I played it cool, but I got hyped. Well, Victor sat in with J.D. and it was an experience.

And it's not so much the musicianship but one heck of a show he puts on. You can't deny his gift!

One thing I love about Vic is that he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. He always seem to have fun doing what he's doing. I see some musicians who make every song a major composition. Sometimes you need to just have fun with the music.

That's what I dug about the clip. On that fist tune, he just seemed to be having fun with the groove.
