Title: HERE IS: I Love the Lord, Yes I Do
Post by: rafman1718 on August 20, 2003, 07:36:38 PM
This is my first attempt at a full-length post, so if any of it looks a little strange or if you spot any mistakes, let me know. This post is geared for organ, but can be played easily on piano- just leave out the pedals. Also, someone taught this to me. I've never heard a recording of this, so I don't know who wrote/sang it. It's a slow song.
------------------------------
I Love the Lord, Yes I Do
Key of Bb

The chord format is as follows:
P / LH / RH

E / EAbBbC / FBbD- I
Eb / EbGBbC / FBbD- love
-- / --------- / EbGC- the
-- / ---------/ DFBb- Lord
-- / ---------/ BbDF- Yes
-- / ---------/ CEbG- I
-- /---------/ DFBb- do.
(The blank spaces above mean to hold the last played chord)

(FILLER)
D / DF#A / CEbAb
G / GDG / BEbFAb

G / GDF / BDFG- I
C / CFG / BbDF- love the Lord,
F / F-F (octave) / ABDF- yes I do.

(Play these two chords, then start back at the beginning, then go to the turn-around that leads into the next part)
Bb / BbFBb / DGC
Bb / BbFAb / DGBb

~TURN-AROUND~
G / GD / FBbD
Gb / GbDb / EADb
F / FC / EbAbC
E / EC / DFBb

This rest of the song uses the same chords as the first part:

Verse 1: Jesus went to Calvary to save a wretch like you and me, that’s love.
Verse 2: They hung Him high, they strectched him wide, He hung his head, for me died, that’s love.
Verse 3: But that’s not how the story ends, three days later He rose again, that’s love.

Go back to chorus, repeat as you like and fade to end.
----------------------
I hope this will be a blessing to you. Let me know what you think!!!

i want to always say somthing to encourage someone.....and what i want to say to you is, if you continue to post you'll get more used to it and i will say, you will learn in the process......be like a sponge!!!!!! always ready to soak up!!!!!!..........also, for me it is easier to post a song that i myself have heard and learned......and then i am able to put my chords to the best of my knowledge to work......and then i found that i was able to grow from this....... and whatever you do, dont ever cheat yourself out of being the absolute best of you, you can be!!!!!!!!......gieres

Thank you for your encouraging words, aljeres. I always pray to God that He will allow me to be the best musician I can for Him, and that He will use me the way He wants to. It seems like I am learning something new everyday, I just can't keep track of it all!!! Pray my strength in the Lord!
