Anybody know of any products I can use to reduce the ringing or overtone of my snare?

There is something called moon gel dampers. They are great for reducing the ring and overtones. However unlike damping rings the over dampen any of the drums. Try them, you should be able to get them in your local music store.

Choke the drum by over tightening the heads and snares on bottom :D :D

I USUALLY USE A THIN STRIP OF ELECTRICAL TAPE AROUND THE EDGE TO HELP REDUCE THE OVERTONES. OTHER DRUMMERS USE A LITTLE BIT OF DUCT TAPE. SOME JUST USE THE REMO O-RINGS BUT I PERSONALLY THINK THEY MAKE YOUR DRUMS SOUND TO FAKE.OTHER DRUMMERS JUST OVERTUNE THE BOTTOM /RESONANT SIDE HEAD. I LIKE A LIL RING BUT NOT TOO MUCH
