First I would like to apologize to the users that have been subject to the vulgarity that someone has taken upon themselves to start posting.
It seems that we had a visitor come over and make a post. He/She wasn't to happy that I deleted the post, so they have taken it upon themselves to create profane user names and make childish posts.
If you're not a fan of LGM and her rules and regulations then you can take your negative/nasty/rude posts elsewhere. There is no room for it here.
If you see such a thread appear please report it ASAP. I'm taking this matter very seriously.
Whoever is responsible for posting these threads, please know that your IP WILL be blocked tomorrow.
Past member or not, you will be banned from this site. That along with any other IP that you decide to make these posts under.
With regrets that I even have to make this kind of post.

Any way you can block the IP it's coming from?

The only problem with that is that if he's on an ISP with a dynamic PC (which more than likely is the case) then he'd be able to get back in eventually. You could block an IP or hostname range, but you'd risk blocking other users on that ISP that are legit.
If dude is persistent, then the best solution would be to report each incident to that ISP with the time and IP address. They can get track down exactly which if their users it is and slap them down as much as they see fit.
JR, if you need any help determining the hostname or ISP contact info from the IP address(es), let me know.

Just keep deleting and banning and trust that the Lord has sent you an aggravating situation so that you have another reason to lean upon His infinite grace.
Whoever is doing this is just trying to get a reaction. If we don't take the bait, then eventually they'll get bored and move on.

An IP address is all I need, hey you Guido, gas up the Church van, we're gonna take a ride.
But like bassthumpa said, the IP banning will slow them down, but they can always get around it if they are diligent, and childish enough to keep it up.
I will definately keep an eye out... I haven't seen any of the posts, though. I assume it stems from the link to talkbass?

I was refreshing ever 5 minutes or so to catch and delete as much as I could.
Luckily I had to come in to work last night and caught wind of what was going on.

Yup. It's hard for people to understand that we're not here to Gossip about things/situations that have absolutely nothing to do with us. Wether the party was guilty or not didn't matter. The fact was that you don't come onto LGM and just start starting a mess just because you feel like it. Nothing positive was going to come out of any of us discussing a matter that had nothing to do with any of us.
I told him if he wanted to post it in the lounge then he was more then welcome to, but as for the bass forum it wasn't going to fly.
I feel like we've all (all of you posters here) have worked TOOOOOO hard to make this brotherhood of sharing, teaching, and flat out being support when no one else understands, to let someone come in here and try to start tearing it down.
I love this place and what it is and what I see it becoming (SOOOO much good stuff has been turning out in the last couple of months) and I won't let someone drag it down.

Hey JR thanks for your work of keeping this site a good clean place this site has been a real good help to me and my music and i recommend it to my friends just like one of my friends recommended this site to me.

I agree, just ignore their ignorance and let the admins handle their business. The enemy is not happy that we who love the Lord have a place where we can fellowship in the beauty of holiness and encourage each other in our musical endeavours for the Lord. LGM forever!

lol. man, this the first place i go as soon as my computer start up and i check it like every 15 minutes (im addicted. lol) but its just that i hardly am on my computer once i leave work on friday throughout the whole weekend. im enough of a nerd; dont need to be on my computer all weekend too. lol.
so i guess i gotta ask how to regain them cool points? maybe i gotta post a video or something? lol
