hi its me david again
what is better for the contemporary black gospel church sound?
Evans Power Center Dot Coated or Evans Genera HD?

Both heads can give contemporary sound it just depends on how u
tune it.  HD dry will give less ringing than the power dot because
it has holes in it.  The power dot would probably last u longer.

ive tried the evans dry and Hd. both have their disadvantages. the hd i think is double ply which means that you wont get much bounce. they are designed with heavy hitters and rock drumming in mind.  You wont need those unless you are doing some major banging and touring. also , if your drums are miked, you wont need to hit that hard. the dry is a bit too dry 4 my taste. stay with evanas heads for the snare. saynotoremo
