is the tight snare out of style these days... yall give me sum info on this?
-
not for me, but its all about what music youre playing
-
seems like it huh? i like it tight but not so tight that it sounds like card board i like for the snare to actually have some kinda tone thas jus metho

I like my snare Medium Tight on the Batter head on Tight on the reso head. I try different things because I still like the snare to have some type of body to it and not ring out too much. I still like a little ring out of my snare though.
Try different tunings because there may be something that you never tried that you may end up liking.

There is nothing wrong with giving a little info or some extra advice if I had decided to do so. And, don't worry about my reply any ways...Bruh.... You didn't start this thread so its not any of your business what I told the guy.

What kinda snare is it? 10,12,13,14? I depends. I wouldn't tune a 14 too tight and I wouldn't tune a 10 or 12 that loose. You play old school R&B with a tight tune? Are you talking about Isley Brothers, Al Green Old School R&B, or Mint Condition, New Edition old school/pop type?
