And the sad thing is I had all his videos on vhs and now I have no clue where they are gone.

The first clip wasn't working for me (literally speaking). I enjoyed the second clip because I liked Akira's use of the triggered pads in aiding the groove.

Notice he is very much a linear in playing and composition. Everything, every note has it's place in time with not a lot of overlap and no unnecssary/non-supportive notes. The first clip seems 2000-2002 period when I first saw him. He performed that in is clinic.
master of 4-way yes... maybe moreso a Master of 4-way Musical Application. everything he does grooves. he is an inspiration for self-taught drummers whom study music as he did.
