Does the leadership in your Music Ministry listen to your opinions or do they just do what they are going to do?
-
I have my pastor's ear. We tend to see eye to eye concerning music ministry. 8)

Kinda, But not really.

My pastor strongly supports ministers in pursuing their God-given vision (in consultation with the leadership). So I have a very free hand in developing the music ministry. When he does impose ideas of his own, he's more likely to be suggesting something new that we haven't tried before, rather than stopping us from trying new things.

I thought the question was for people (musicians directors) under the MOM. Not for the MOMs themselves and how they work with the Pastor.... Thats just how I read his question... :-\

They listen to my input, but often go their own way.
Then later, they go "why don't we try this" on my original idea...
:P

If that be so, I listen, very intently, to the opinions of the members of the praise team. I tell them it's a team and we're in this together.

Me personally, depends on the mood the MOM is in and I'll just leave it at that ::), some others YES.

That is a very good and humble attitude - something I aspire to...
