Can anybody help with the chords to this song?
We worship you
Verse 1
You said we can come boldly
Before the throne of grace
And we can feel your glory
As we worship in this place
Bridge
From the crown of my head
To the soles of my feet
I can feel your presence over me
Chorus
We worship you
In spirit and in truth x3ce
We worship x3ce
Verse 2
We bow down before you
We exalt your name
Our weary souls are thirsty
Crying for more rain
Bridge
From the crown of my head
To the soles of my feet
I can feel your presence over me
yeah, yeah, yeah
Hi and thanks
This is a foundation of the chords I manufactured for the song, "we worship you" - http://www.learngospelmusic.com/forums/index.php/topic,71003.0.html (http://www.learngospelmusic.com/forums/index.php/topic,71003.0.html)
I was told some of the chords sound odd and I just want to learn from comparing the right chords or progression to mine. I decided against posting it initially so as not to mislead other people who may think these are the right chords.

From the little that I was able to hear b4 my computer messed up, it seems like the Intro chords are the same as the chords u play for the Verse. Is the intro something you came up with yourself?
-
Thanks for you response.
I came up with the chords myself based on the notes I heard in the baseline and the melody played. For the intro, I heard the back and fourth movement from 2 to 3 (or 9 to 10 if you will), then 1 to 2 (or 9 to 10 if using the b7th), so I just looked for a 1 chord that has the 2nd and 3rd degrees in it and the b7th that has the 2nd and 3rd degrees in it.
That's how I came up with the EbM9 and DbM9 for the intro and verse.
-
Look again at the intro chords you posted cuz they aren't the same as the verse chords:
That's how I came up with the EbM9 and DbM9 for the intro and verse.
Key Eb
Intro
LH / RH
Eb Eb-F-G-Ab
Bb / C+Db+F+Ab
Bb Eb-F-G-Ab
Eb / Bb+Eb+G
Verse
Eb+Bb / G+Bb+D+F - G
Db+Ab / F+AB+C+Eb - F
[/quote]
In the intro you have the bass notes Eb and Bb, but in the verse you have the bass notes Eb and Db. That Bb bass note in the intro changes the chord to a Bbm9. That's why I asked if the intro is something you came up with cuz from the video the intro and verse chords are the same. Is it a typo?

Ur chords are good so far man. Let me help u out wit a few spots:
Chorus:
Eb / Bb-Eb-G
Gb / Bb-Db-Gb
Db / Ab-Db-F
Ab / C-Eb-Ab
(repeat)
Bridge (yeah, yeah part):
Db / Ab-Db-F
Fb / Ab-Cb-Fb or E / G#-B-E (same chord, different spelling for the key)
Eb / G-Bb-Eb
Db / F-Ab-Db
What I always tell people is follow the bass first cuz that's the foundation for your music. After that, use the melody to help with voicings (chord inversions). This song does a lot of chord borrowing from the key of Eb minor (Gb major) and Db major.

God bless your heart brother - you're a genius
Thanks for helping out. You just made a lot more things clearer to me.
You wil always find help when you need one too in all areas of your life.
Thanks and stay blessed
I just noticed the chords you were referring to (if typo). Those are actually the beginning licks (separated with hyphens) ended with chords (separated with + sign). I didn't know the last chord that was arpeggiated 3 octaves up so I left that one out
Thanks

You're too kind man. I'm just glad this post will help you to become a better musician.

didnt kno Wille Murphy was a bishop...
is this the same one that sang with Shekinah?
-
Pardon my error. I am new to gospel and gospel music altogether and thought Bishop William H Murphy and Pastor William H Murphy were the same person - I just found out they are 2 separate individuals. The comments in the link below portrays both as father and son. http://www.myspace.com/bishopwhmurphy (http://www.myspace.com/bishopwhmurphy)
For your question about Shekinah, yes but it's Pastor Murphy
Thanks for the awakening!
