The Twin Reverb or The Twin (aka - "Evil Twin"). Even the so-called "red-knob" Twin (or Dual Showman head) form the 80's has a great clean tone (the drive is another story). Basically anything that says Fender and Twin. I've tried Fender's Prosonic/Supersonic and they have awsome clean and disotorted (yup, they're Fender amps with great distortion) sounds. Other than that, my Performer 1000 has a great clean sound.............when it works LOL!!!

I'm allergic to clean... ;)
I usually set my amp where I can roll my volume on the guitar back to about 4 and get a good "clean," and to where at 10 it's a decent lead sound, then with a boost or OD, it's the BIG lead sound.
But I'm a caveman when it comes to this stuff...

fender is the way to go

it really depends on what you like in a clean sound. the Fender clean is a big, fat, percussive, 6L6 clean tone...and a lot of guys dig it. i prefer an EL34/EL84 type british clean...with more chime. it's ironic, considering my current amp is a 6L6 amp...and that's why i think about flipping it every other day. it's a great amp....but i just miss the Voxy chime and Marshall grind. When thinking of the type of clean i'm referring to, think Vox..Matchless..Divided by 13..Budda.
I sometimes wish i had given my Budda more time, and I always keep an eye out for a good deal. They have great Voxy cleans and a Marshall like drive channel.

Roland Cube or JC 120

I like Fender cleans live. In the studio, I will often plug directly into the console/interface. No amp necessary. Distortion is a different matter entirely.

solid state amp jc-120....tube fender twin but i have been running into old early 80's stuff that sounds good clean ( peavey heritage vtx) but the drive sounds like the 80's

I have two basic amps I run through. One is a Channel switcher which has an amazing Fendery Clean with a tad more mids and a Plexish Gain structure that's to die for. Oh, did I say that this baby is my sound.
It's an Custom Audio OD100 Classic Plus
Little clip of Michael Landau playing through one.

The other amp I use is a Vox Ac30. I think we all know that one. ;)

ahhhhhhhhh.....i forgot how tasty a player Landau is...

feder , fender ,fender, tubes , tubes , tubes ;D ;) 8)

i guess if you told us what sound you wanted/player you want to sound like we could help more. your typical black gospel clean tone is a Fender/6L6 type or variant. your typical modern worship tone is a vox ac30/el84 or variant. (matchless, divided by 13, etc)

A little Fender Blues Jr or a Fender Princeton is hard to beat for portability if your base sounds is a clean tone.
Jim Campilongo shows off his Princeton in this clip.

I was holding back from mentioning Roland. I've used them both(120 & 80x)...clean and sweet. No complaints.

I don't have much experience with amps but I love the clean of my Fender Frontman 212R. It is just so...FAT. :)

Actually, Fender's solid state amps do offer great clean sounds. The Princeton Chorus is nice - particularly the earlier non-DSP version.
