My Uncle just gave my family 3 stratocasters. One of which is a 1958 model. My dad wants to sell this guitar(i think we should keep it). How much do you think this guitar would sell for?
-
Is this for real???
Like a REAL 1958 Strat FROM 1958?
Those guitars are worth over $25,000.
A REISSUE would be less.
Hold onto it if it's real!!!

Wgatever you do, please don't part it out just to get more money. That turns my stomach.
Pics?

I wish one of my uncles would give me three Stratocasters :'( ...I think you should hold onto it, though.
-
Why did he give them to you?
-
Well, he is in a nursing home, so my aunt gave them to us to see if we could sell them. When I told my dad the value of the '58 you could see the dollar signs. I personally want to hold on to it. for people who know nothing about guitars, its all about the money for them.

I guess ultimately it's your dad's decision, but pray about it and talk to him about letting you keep it. I don't want to get all in your business; but would the money from the sale of the guitar be used for your uncle's care? Dollar value aside, it would be a fine addition to any guitar collection. How about the other two Strats?

ones like a 94 Japanese, lefty, and the other is a MIM '96 Jimmy Vaughn. theyre cool. My dad claims the MIM cause he wants to start playing lol.
-
keep it!!!!
my goodness man arent you a guitar player?? lol. j/k.
-
Dude, you could make a nice Hendrix tribute guitar out of the lefty... Well, a mirror image of one lol. It would be cool, I think.
-
keep it!!!!

Please keep the Strat, and get some insurance coverage on it. Get a Floater Instrument Policy to cover it anywhere in the world, and for any loss. It is worth every penny. BBlessed
