Hey InThePocket22!
My advice is to continue to use the pillow, and to do single and double stroke rolls, I practice my rudiments at least an hour, before i pracrice on the set it has help my hand speed. Dennis Chambers talk about  how he develop his hand speed by practicing on pillows. I hope this
helps you GOD BLESS!

Practicing on pillows is the best way. Or you can get two phone books or dictionary and put them under each armpit tape a quarter to the pillow and work on singles and doubles that way. I think you will automatically start to see development in your speed. But, you also have to remember to pray b4 you practice or play because without GOD none of it is possible.

Practicing on a pillow is the best way to go in my opinion.  It will only make your reaction time faster!

yes pillows are the way to improve your speed and timing, but i also recommend getting wrist weights, i have tried it and i have seen improvements, my doubles and triples got faster, and my wrist feels light..
try it, it works........

Seriously, when you say pillow, do you mean like a soft feather pillow of a bouncy foam pillow? A big bed pillow or a coach pillow? There is a difference.

And the phone book under the arms thing... brilliant! Is that the white pages or yellow pages? In some places this does matter.

Also, suppose someone is sleeping on the pillow? Won't their head get in the way or do you just whack around it?  I suppose if you're really mad at them you could just aim for the center of the pillow. :P

Um... guys/gals... I really am joking about the head theng, but really am curious about the type of pillow thing.

Basically any kind of pillow will work as long as it is not a hard pillow.

first off you may think this sounds strange but you should try to  practice your rudiments with marching band sticks put your sticks over your shoulders like your pointing at someone behind you it  willhelp build up unused muscles for speed and endurance try and let me know what you feel

Practicing triplets will also help. Try practicing triplets with each hand and gradually speed up.
