Sister T where did you get that? for some reason it sounds like somebody was singing over something that was pre recorded, i wonder, anyways the music was tight for real the phrasing was off the hook and the choir was real tight and that's all i'm goign to say about that, cause moma always said if you aint got nothin good to say then laugh ya head off hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ahahahahahaha lolololololololololol :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: ok thank you Sister T I will never be mad at my Praise and worship team ever again, cause in all the time that we have been together they never pulled no notes like that, that is a very unique voice right there

Hey did anyone stop to think that that girl may have just been to filled up with emotion to sing from what I heard she didn't really have a bad voice
it really sounded to me like she was crying.
there have been times in worship when I know I sounded like a sick mule to others because I was just screeming praises to Jesus at the top of my lungs until I had no more voice.
I actually believe she may have sung it perfect at practice. as a miniter of music I would never have a choir and band that sound that good and put somone up to lead that can'nt sing.
I admit I did laugh at first but I think I was infulenced by reading all the other post responses first.
Question how many times have we hit wrong notes as musicians and keep on playing I think she did the same thing.

I felt the anointing in the song and over looked the mistakes I felt she was sincere and singing from the depths of her soul. If I could only get that much emotion out of my singers I could work with fixing the bad notes

I'm glad you said that. When I first heard it, I thought that this girl was simply "caught" up in her singing. BEcasue the choir & musicians were "on it" I figure they wouldn't put a howling puppy as a lead singer. If you notice at the end, the music is still playing, but sista girl is no longer singing. That is emotion!
However, it is still makes one chuckle, cause on tape sista girl sound like a brother being circumcised without an anesthesia. :lol:
I bet the singer has a sense of humor, and laughed at herself when she heard the recording. I don't know who or what church that came from. Someone emailed me the link,

This is one thing I dont like about choirs sometimes even our choir. People will say is the annointing that counts and yet the choir is hollering or the or the singer is howling. Why dont we try to strive for perfection even in our singing. Some choirs are satisfied with this. I think this is why some good musicians and singers leave one church for another because none of the leaders seem to want to correct this.

She should've probably put on an act like she was caught up and just fall out so she wouldn't have to try to finish the song after that. That's crazy!! That's one of my biggest fears when leading a song. I would just stop if that was me.

I don't even listen to most choirs sing anymore. I just look at the director and listen to the music, so everything else just goes right through me...unless the music is bad too.
You know, with the wonders of the internet, she could probably be reading this. :?

My prayer is that either she or someone, in grace, spoke to her concerning her vocals. We must remember that we are trying to usher in the spirit; we are to be a vessel used by God. People should not be distracted by us when playing/singing well or not so well.

I'm sorry, I just had to make another comment after listening to it again. If you notice after she hits the first bad... I mean off note, the choir fades out like they're totally caught by surprise like a train derailing. Thanks for the late evening laugh Sister T.

I thought I was the only one to notice that........lol..........I'e listened to that clip about 8 times now and everytime I isten, I hear somethin' else.....I wouldnt doubt it if someone within the chior started laughin'. As wrong as laughin sounds, they would have had to put me off stage.......However, I hope that since the lead singer's "Off-key" experience God has blessed her with strength in her voice so that she can hit those hi notes................God bless her..........

I actually pushed myself away from my seat at work! Then everyone else around me said, "What was that??" I let them hear and they were silent! LOL!
OK, I'm finished laughing. I do really think she maybe caught the Holy Ghost or something. Maybe she WAS crying. She did one thing VERY right though, in spite of the mistake, she KEPT SINGING. That's good. :)

Listening to that made me laugh so much I split my sides with laughing.
I will be starting my New Gosple Choir in Cornwall on saturday 12th November, and i was worried about some of the choir members not being exactly on tune, but then if there are choirs with lead singers like this do I need worry?
God has a sense of humour too!!!!

Terrible experiment went wrong: & I really love that song - I posted a message about needing help with singing with music in the Gospel singers area, but man I dont sound like that - that was a stone trip - After that first harsh note I would have fell to my knees & got happy quick just to take the attention off of my throwed note & left that song for the musician to finish!!! :lol:

The girl singing you can tell does have a pretty voice - she just needed to work on the song some more & not try to hit notes that are out of her range.
