You can talk about me just as much as you please
The more you talk I'm going to stay on my knees
I'm on my way upand I can't turn around
I'm on my to a higher ground
The Lord has been mighty good to me
That's why I'm grateful, So grateful to thee
I'm grateful, So mighty grateful

It's an old song and I have been trying to find out who did this song.
If you can help me out, I will greatly appreciate it.
Thanks and God Bless.

I "believe" that's another one of them James Cleveland numbers.  LOL!

At our church, we sing it in the key of F (me and another choir member as a duet)...I learned it as a child from hearing her and another lady sing it.

I'm so grateful.  I'm mighty grateful.
The Lord has spared me another day.
I'm so grateful.  I'm mighty grateful.
He has ___ me
Along the way.

He's been my joy!  My joy in sorrow!
He's been my hope...hope for tomorrow!
He's been my shelter in the time of storm!
He's been my strength....when I'm weak and worn!
That's why I'm grateful.  I'm mighty grateful!

AND THEN YOU GOT THE CHORUS (FROM WHAT I JUST READ)

The original artist and composer of this song was the late Harold Smith, leader of the Harold Smith Majestics of Detroit, Michigan.

Although the original post/question is a few years old, someone may have the same question so here are the lyrics as I remember them from when I was a teenager in church:

I’m so grateful, I’m mighty grateful
The Lord has spared me another day
I’m so grateful, I’m mighty grateful
He’s has always made a way

He’s been my joy, my joy in sorrow
He’s been my hope, hope for tomorrow
He’s been my shelter in a time of storm
He’s been my strength when I’m weak and worn

That’s why I’m grateful, I’m mighty grateful

Talk about me as much as you please
The more you talk I’m gonna stay on my knees
I’m on my way up and I can’t turn around
I’m on my way to a higher
The Lord has been might good to me
That’s why I’m grateful, I’m grateful to thee
I’m grateful, I’m mighty grateful
