Does anyone know where I can find a nice 5 string bass, just to start out on for a good price (even on the internet). Also the amps and whatever else I need.

PAWN SHOP, or your local music/guitar shop. The Peavey Millinium BXP is about $179 after mark down, and yes that is the 5 string version. Don't worry about the sticker price, they all take about 20% off the listed price.
