I have a Cort Curbow 5 that was set up and signed by the late luthier in 2004.  The action is fast and light but
it lacks the punch I need for Gospel so I picked up an Ibanez SR405 w/Elixir strings.  I also have a GSR200 and
a Peavey Dyna-Bass V (my first).  I'm recieving a Washburn XB-600 on Monday.
From His gifts comes my praise.

These are 5 of my 6 basses.  They are, from left to right...

An Alembic Mark King Signature / Series II 5 string
A Hanewinckel Artist Arpeggio 6 string fretless
A Marchlewski Custom 5 string
A Hanewinckel Artist Ceres 6 string
An Alembic Series I

The one not pictured is a Music Man Bongo.  I have waaaay more basses than I need to get the job done, but I like each of them for different reasons and can't see get rid of any of them unless there's a really pressing need.  I usually play the Hanewinckel that's 2nd from the right at our 8:30 Contemporary Worship Service.  Lately I've started alternating that with the Bongo.

Peace,

James

Okay, nobody laugh! I own a First Act 4 string. Got it from Wal-Mart :D :D :D

It's all I can afford right now. I also got the amp 15watt but it went out on me at the second practice session. You get what you pay for. :(

Hey DWalk... no laughing here mayne... we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.

It was a while before I could afford to get what I wanted... I used the Churches Bass up until about a month ago

There are alot of reasonably priced basses out there... I heard these SX basses are great for the price..

No shame in a walmart bass, though... sorry to hear about the amp.
But its all love here...

Hi all. I own a Roscoe 5st with byrl myrtle top and Spanish Cedar body and Bart electronics.
My main axe is a Ken Smith 5 with a preamp made by Pensa. The preamp really gave the Smith bottom and punch and made it sound like Smiths I hear on recordings.

I have a Curbow by Cort 5 string (sweet little body & jazzy bass). I'm running out of a Hartke rig. HA3000 & Pro 2200 cab. It's a sweet rig! Just got it and I'm a lil excited lol. Beautiful sound for the cost (and God blessed with the price less than 400 & Yes it's all NEW). Someone give God a praise! <<playin shoutin' music now in Ab (if u wanna join in) lol.

I also have a Cort Curbow 5 that I got off ebay in December of 2004 that was setup and handsigned on the back the neck by Greg Curbow himself.  Unfortunately...I later found out that he passed away in August 2005.  I had planned to personally visit the shop and thank him for
sending me such a great instrument.
From His gifts comes my praise.

Fender Am. deluxe jazz.....4 string.   Are most of you guys playing 5 and 6 string guitars now?  I'm starting to think I might have been better off getting atleast a 5 string bass.

I HAVE A DISCONTINUED RB170 4-STRING. IT SOUNDS SOOOOOOOOO GOOD. I USED TO WANT A 5-STRING SOOO BAD BUT, MY HANDS HAVE GOTTEN USED TO THE 4-STRING THAT I THINK I'M GOING TO STICK WITH THE 4-STRINGS FOR A WHILE.
