Adjustable organ bench- helpful or not?
« on: July 10, 2005, 07:39:27 PM »
I was recently given a lower bench to use with my B2 at home and I like it. I'm only 5'4" so I have short legs and the 2 inch(lower) difference the bench gives, is very helful in using heel-toe method.

Anybody else have trouble reaching the pedals comfortably?

Why aren't there any adjustable organ benches around? Or, are there?

Most Pipe organs have adjustable benches. And Most classical pipe organist get mad if you move thier bench 1 inch. ::)

The normal hammond bench is fine for me. Though I have seen some taller organist play with the left side on an angle to make it easier to play pedals

I have issues sometimes because I'm tall but if I move too far back, my arms get sore having to reach out to the keys.   :-\
