What kind of gigs do y'all do?
« on: August 25, 2005, 10:56:45 AM »
I just wanted to here from my fellow drummers out there, what do you consider a "gig"? I've been blessed to play for 3 churches, and I periodically play for a singing group or two. I'm in it for the love of God, to worsip, and to fight the enemy. That's the ministry part.

But, praise God, I get paid for playing in most cases. In that sense I consider them gigs. Most of what I do is "church gigs,"  but all of them are gospel- related. I might go out of town with one of my choirs to a youth service or something....

The only other stuff is small studio stuff and 1 CD for school. But I've never done a big gig b4.

What do you think? You can tell me about your experiences but I really want to know what you consider a real gig.
