Blessings Everyone!

I just purchased a Maple Pearl Piccolo snare. I've tuned it to the best of my ability but I'm still getting a ring feedback from. Do you have any suggestions what I can do to stop this or prevent the ringing. Please help a sister out. :?

Thanks :)

You can use a "wee bit" of Moon Gel, or you could use an Evans Genera Dry, if you want to go that route.

excellent advice J_Kay. Unfortunaley if it is the standard Pearl maple pic it has a tendency to ring.

She can also try a regular Genera (because the Genera Dry may be too loud for a small church. I had that problem with a steel pic and the Genera Dry/Hazy 200 combo,   . Maybe even a G2 coated should take out the ring.

The free-floaters don't do that very often the have a better made shell.

if you are wanting to completely take out the ring, you can use a remo zero ring which completely mutes any overtones after the initial hit. if you are on a budget, you could always just put a little bit of duct tape on the head. this works for me and does the job for cheap....
