Try this modulation from C to Db:

C G Bb / B C E G
D A C / B C Eb G
Db Ab B / C Db F Ab

In other words, the progression is:

Cmaj7 (with Bb in the bass for spice)
D13
Dbmaj7 (with B in the bass for spice)

The trick is getting to the fifth of the key to which you’re modulating. Here Ab7 is the fifth of Dbmaj7. I’m using D13 as a tritone substitute for Ab7.

If you place your fingers as I wrote at the top, your fingers won’t move around too much. Try it out and let me know what you think! I’m experimenting.

I made a HUGE typo, sorry. The post should read:

Try this modulation from C to Db:

C G Bb / B C E G
D A C / B C E F#
Db Ab B / C Db F Ab

A very simple technique for modulation is just play the 4 chord of the key u want to go to with the 5 of the new key in the bass.  This way u can go to any key from any key.  Here are some examples:

From C to Db:

C / C-D-E-G (starting key chord)
Ab / Gb-Bb-Db (modulation chord)
Db / Eb-F-Ab-Db (new key chord)

From C to E:

C / C-D-E-G (starting key chord)
B / A-C#-E (modulation chord)
E / F#-G#-B-E (new key chord)

From C to B:

C / C-D-E-G (starting key chord)
F# / E-G#-B (modulation chord)
B / C#-D#-F#-B (new key chord)

From C to Ab:

C / C-D-E-G (starting key chord)
Eb / Db-F-Ab (modulation chord)
Ab / Bb-C-Eb-Ab (new key chord)

I know that might be too simple for yall advanced people, but this what i use and it works great for me.  I find that keeping stuff simple is a great way to go.
