I got my bass over a year ago and I have probably not practiced it a months worth of days. I missed the deadline so I guess I don't have to submit anything. Technically I should be in group 1.

What do you guys think about this....


Once we're finished, we can keep the groups going and work with each other, withing the group, to help bring us all up to the level of our most experienced player.

I don't know about you guys, but having these groups is really helping me understand the things those guys in group 3 and 4 are doing. I can hear how the things being played in group 1 naturally progress, through the groups, to the things being played in group 4.


....So, what do you all think? Like the idea?

I remember you tried to squash me a while back for calling somebody out on a thread.lol  Now see as long as we keep things in perspective then we all can grow.


HOW MANY OF YOU KNOW HOW THIS ALL STARTED:  IT STARTED WITH B3 TALKING TRASH ABOUT I COULDN'T HOLD HIM ON THE BASS, ANYWAY.  THE THING THAT START AS A LITTLE COMPETITION BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE TURNED INTO US ORGANIZING THIS SITE INTO AN EFFECTIVE TRAINING TOOL.

PRAISE GOD FOR HEALTHY COMPETITION.

Yea. Sorry about that....


It was just the tone in the post didn't seem like you were joking. I do understand that it's hard to get across what you really mean in a forum like this. It's just that some people start attacking each other easily here, so I didn't want to see that start to happen in the bass room. I think most of us are an older bunch than in the other rooms.


Sorry again about any previous misunderstanding.....


....Now stop talking and start practicing! You're lucky you're in group 3!  :wink:  :D


You know....I don't really look at this as a competition. It's more like we're bouncing ideas off each other. If the bounce knocks you down, so be it.  :wink:  :lol:

YEAH I WOULD AGREE WITH EVERTHING YOU JUST SAID.

WE HAVE TO COME WITH SOMETHING TO TAKE THIS TO THE NEXT LEVEL.  RATHER THAN JUST CHATTING, LIKE YOU SAID MAKE THIS A FORUM THAT WILL BE A BLESSING TO THE KINGDOM.

...ABOUT THE COMPETITION COMMENT.

I BELIEVE IT'S HEALTHY TO HAVE SOMEONE BETTER YOU.  KEEPS YOU HUMBLE.  I USE TO HAVE TWO GUYS ON ISLAND HERE THAT COULD MOP ME UP.  NOW I'M HOLDING IT DOWN HERE ON OKINAWA.  NOW i COULD GET THE BIG HEAD OR LOCAL TO GO ON THE NATIONAL SCENE TO SEE WHERE MY SKILLZ STACK UP OBVIOUSLY I'M LIKE THE BIRD FLEW VIRUS CAUSE LOOKS LIKE I'M THE MAN IN KOREA TOO  LOL :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

SO IF YOU NEED SOME TIGHT BASSLINES....CALL ME AND DON'T FORGET TO SEND A TICKET.  NEXT I'M GOING TO CHINA, SINGAPORE, MALAYSIA, INDIA, INDONESIA.   :wink:

spirit, I was in okinawa a few years back. I was on the Marine base there. I actually used to live there for a while when I was younger and my dad was stationed there. One thing you must remember, if you get off of those islands its alot more fish in the US sea... :))

Ok guys....

I thought that having 1 track would be good, but it seems we're starting to slow down. I know it's partly because of work days though....but anyway...We're going to switch drum tracks, to keep things interesting.

Let's switch to drum loop #3. So, once everyone in your group has posted, the next person should just switch to this drum track.
