I ain't messing with you anymore that was sick...  You have to put that on video.  Can you crazy slow that down?  Do you listen to a lot of jazz, cause I find that I can here solo runs like everyone else; not my strength.  Maybe because I don't listen to jazz but I'm going to break out my Marcus and Gerald when I get home.


By far, you're the top dog in group 3.  But I'm on your heels   :wink:

You're slacking on that jazz dude!


I don't do Victor too much though, he's a very GREAT technician, but his music just seems a little too "other-spiritual" to me, not demonic, but just "other". I don't listen to much Herbie Hancock for the same reason. Joe Sample and Marcus Miller are more my style.

base....Lovely, smooth, i'm really digging it....thats da type of grooves i love to listen to...lovely improve.......did you use a loop to loop that first part them improved over it?

I actually moved it, because it's not the same loop we're using.

I just did it, like wolldav did, by putting it in a separate thread.


This is a sweet clip though. I might have to "try" to steal some of this stuff!

By the way guys ... I made a CD of the initial posts for the BASS OFF.  I've gotta make a new one so I can get all submissions for each group, in group # order ... this is motivation, inspiration and pleasure all wrapped up in 1    :)

Hey B3,
The drum loop I used is the same exact beat we have been using for the Bass Off submissions. All I did was just stick in a 4 bar intro of bass & keys. I figured it would be ok since others were using guitar and comping chords on their bass. I guess it's a little hard to tell its the same because I don't have the beat BANGIN like it should. I mixed the loop a little low.

But that entire loop (including the bass solo) was just sick.  

Bassdisgrace, I need to get with you man ( but I might not have enough chops on the keyboard to really hang with you).

Now you got jlewis thinking I am gonna be bringing it like that at church.. help a brotha out with some slow video or some practice routines or something...
