« on: October 24, 2005, 06:10:41 AM »
these are my left hand changes to a bee bop blues song called bluessette by toots thielman  which starts out with a modified 7-3-6-2-5-1   get the song to hear the melody so when I go outside the key you know why
if you read beginner and advanced beginner seft hand voicings this is where it ends up NOTICE HOW SMOOTH THE CHORDS MOVE THIS IS WHAT THE DRILLS HELP TO DEVELOP

ped / lh

Bb / A-C-D-F          =  Bb MAJ9
Ab / AB C-D-F        = Bb 7
A / G-A-C-Eb          = A HALF DIM7
D / F# A-C-Eb         = D7b9
G / F-A-Bb-D           =  G-9
C/ E-A-Bb-D            = C13
F / Eb-G-Ab-C          = F-9
D / D-G-Ab-C           = Bb7
Eb / G-C#                = Eb7
Eb / F#-Bb-C#-F       = Eb-7
Ab / F#-Bb-C-f          =Ab13
Db / F-Bb-Eb            = Db 6/9
Db / G-C-F               = DbMAJ7 b5
F# / Ab-C#-F#         = F#ADD9
F#/ Bb-Eb-Ab           =F#6/9
B / Bb-C#-Eb-F#       =BMAJ7
C / Bb-Eb-F#-Bb        C HALF DIMINISHED
F / C-Eb-F#-A            F7b9
D /C-D-F-A                D-7
C#/ B-Eb-E-Ab           C#-9
C/ Bb-D-Eb-G             C-9
B /A-C#-Eb-F#           B9
Bb/ A-C-D-F              BbMAJ9

NOTICE THE KEY CHANGE I USE TFIS TO HARMOMIZE AMAZING GRACE
SOMETIMES WHEN I WANT TO ADD JAZZ COLORSWHEN DOING SOLO ORGAN OR PIANO NOT WHEN PLAYING WITH THE CONGREGATION
To be or not to be that is the question you anwer when you pray practice and read your word

Hey there! I appreciated any and all who help on this website.  I've been playing for years but was never taught theory so I've asked God to clear my mind and allow me to learn/grasp theory.  This site has help me tremendously (I've even made a notebook of stuff and your chords will go in it too).

Thanks a bunch
