Interesting snare experiment
« on: October 29, 2005, 05:16:23 PM »
Hey yo
How are yall
Im the nu guy here.
Im from germany and pretty much into urban gospel.
Its always great to get nu information about cdreleases and stuff.
Youve helped me a lot there.
So here is something for you.

I took my 12"x6.5" hammered Steel tama Snare and put a remo powerstroke 4 on it. the fun thing is that i took a clear head. then ic cut a rim noise eliminator out of an old skin and put it on my snare.
1. It sounds really good for gospel because it has got the nice crack and it is not to high pitched because the rim cut all those ringing tones.
2. Its looks also exotic with the clear head on

I just wannted to tell you that you can get a lot sounds out of your snare if you start to experiment with different heads snarewires or even muffling systems.
Give it a try.

Gotta get yo praise on
Phill
and trust me u will love your personal snare even more!;)
