"Preaching chords" for guitar
« on: November 25, 2005, 08:23:21 AM »
A long time ago, I remember seeing a keyboard lesson called preaching chords.  Can anybody break-down "preaching chords" for guitar?  :?:

Thanks,
God Bless!!

I'm thinking that if you cold strum like Stevie Ray Vaughan did on the song "Dirty Pool" that you could do some interesting preaching accompaniment.  In that song, the way he strums makes the guitar sound more like a Hammond organ than guitar and he's not using any effects either!

If you play minor or dominant 7s chords and throw in some
blues licks, you will be alright.
