Do any of you change the snares?
« on: January 21, 2006, 09:13:41 AM »
Do any of you change the snares to another brand like puresound, etc or do you just use whatever snares come on it? By snares I'm referring to the actual snare beads on the bottom of the drum not the actual drum itself just so there isnt any confusion.
If HE brings you to it, HE'll bring you through it

I play a beautiful, awesome, Pearl Master MHX African Mahogany 14x6.5 snare... The snares that it came with are really nice Pearl Masters, however, I switched to Puresound 16 strand Equalizers...  8O WHAT A DIFFERENCE.

As Sabe told me, If you get a top quality snare, that you are going to keep for awhile, then its definitely worth switching your snare wires...
and I am sold on Puresound.

God Bless.

What I mean by that is if you like the sound of your snare it will make it sound 50% better. I find people spend way too much on gimic snares. Ive used pure sounds and didnt hear the difference? I went 42 strand and wow.
