Playing for the song... Josh Freese with Sting

Go to the last page in the Archive link and watch the Sting performance. In particular watch/listen to sessions monster Josh Freese playing "Message in a Bottle" and "Material World". This song calls for chops and control not to mention exceptional timing to keep the groove.

Most of us cannot out play Josh Freese truth be told so let's just really observe/study and learn. If you want to be a real pro, study the top pros. This is the kind of playing that gets you sessions and tours with musicians the cailiber of Sting. Josh gets calls like Vinnie does.... seriously. Abe Laboriel Jr, is in the same circle. Michael White, Michael Bland.... Don't be one-dimensional.

Man!! Josh Fresee did his thing on that song (message in a bottle). Stewart Copeland is another guy to check out he kills that song and puts a regae groove to it. Thanks for the link Sabe.

Yeah I was pretty upset too. His web site is even worse with that long necked lady LOL....
