Are making reference to Vinnie's song "Bruce Lee"??? I will post that song if anyone wants it. That song was very wierd, crazy chops ,timing song format. But done like only Vinnie could do it.

Here's my favorite drummer people Vinnie Colaiuta. He is the king of "wierd chops" listen in particular to the solo around 3:04
simply wonderful. And the beat displacement is enough to make you fall. MAN HOPEFULLY LURKERS DON'T KILL THIS B4 "real members" get it.

If anyone wants this sent P.M. , if it dies...... just say so
GOD BLESS

thomas and that young boi yall be talkin bout from the dc/baltimore area, dana???

Dana has chops but he needs to learn to be a musician not just a fast chopped drummer! Hes all over the place all the time, everytime and his placement sometimes sucks!!!

Aaron`s sick! get the Gideon Bands live cd, I listen to it every day, night, bed, sleep, changing the baby...on and on!
For gospel drummer chops Aarons my number 1 right now!!!!

I'm with you too man, and dana is my boy but the truth is the truth.

Zildjian Day London video was my introduction to him on my 27th birthday. Because I like voicings/ambient sounds/orchestration I identitfy with his playing. He is an artist pure and simple. I would love to hear the work he did with Mahavishnu Orchestra when they had him and Jon Luc Ponty (sp?) the violinist. I think that was the third or fourth line up of that band. I also love his mastery of polyrhythms. He also has some of the fastest hands/fingers in the world (my opinion).

I have no Idea about his playing. BUT his Signature Sticks are Incredible! My favorite right now! and if he is playing with a Vioinist...my Wife will MAKE me buy it!  ;D Now I am on the hund for Trilok Albums.

God Bless.

A drummer I havent heard mentioned is Chris Coleman.  Drummer for Israel and New Breed.  After watching the Another Level live in concert DVD, I can honestly say He has some of the weirdes chops I have seen or heard, but they are so so sick.  :)
Thank you and may God bless you,

I've actually never heard that album.

I wonder if it's worth it, or is he just over-hyped. I don't have money to waste ya'll!

Maestro, please get that album man! Chris is the truth. No hype. Plus the arrangements and musicianship is incredible. It's my favorite CD ever. You could even try the DVD if ya want.
Just play music...
