I Just Donated My Prized Keyboard
« on: April 19, 2008, 07:00:35 PM »
I just donated my Fender Rhodes to a startup church that I attend. I know it may seem outdated, so is this still a good keyboard for the church?

Also no one plays and I have limited experince. I only know a few movements and a handful of songs, but would be more than willing if God chose to use me.

Just pray for me if the Pastor wants me to play.

That was a very generous gesture MrAndrew & other than the people, God knows your motives & desires & He'll bless you in abundance.
I think it's high time U started playing for a church MrAndrew..In the short time I've interacted with you, you've shown nothing but passion for music..

U'r definately on your way to new grounds :)

Thanks musallio. I've been attending bible study at this small church and it has helped me tremendously. I just wanted to give something to the church and since there was no keyboard I asked the pastor if he would accept the one I had gathering dust.

Man it would be easier to send you the money. LOL! Shipping it would cost a bundle.

What you did is a great thing........much respect on that.  That Rhodes is probaby worth some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.  If the church will recognize it for what it is (not a piano, not an organ) than they'll be fine lol.

To be honest, the rhodes is winding right back where it started, in the church. I brought it about 9 yrs. ago from a minister when I was living in D.C.

As far as it's worth not important to me. It's just hard letting go.
