Just wondering about room

I was wondering is this room more of a chord room than a tab room? I been viewing people request on here for tabs and I see seldom to no replies to those postings. I;m kinda new to this site, so I was just a little curious.

This room is for both chords and tabs.  Not everybody can post tabs so they post chords.  Many people may not even know what a tab is.

What is a tab?   ??? I'm new to a lot of things also such as tabs and progressions.  I just play by ear.  Help a sista out.

I'm new to the bass as well. But as far as I know tabs are the number fret on which string for example

Well I'll be.        I didn't know that those were tabs.  I thought tabs and chords were the same thing, just words used interchangeably.
