that guy is so tasty - we all have a lot to learn from him.

i see too many gospel drummers doing licks every two bars and only playing at one volume - bashing the living crap out of their drums and cymbals - i think like Thomas Pridgen and Chris Dave - we're gonna/we need to see more drummers combining the touch and taste of jazz with the crazy funkiness of gospel.

how many can play super fast and barely audible volumes? how many can propel a band with only their ride cymbal?  lets get real!

Correction cats gotta practice that. We tell them all the time here. THey see dennis, Vinne and Weckle doing it yet they don't practice it or apply it.

They need some old cat like Louis Bellson or Jim Chapin or Joe Morello to light them up in public or maybe that lil 14 year old from MD Fest 2005.

growing up in puerto rico i listened to tito puente alot and shiela-e....but growing up in a holiness church in florida...marvin,roderick green..and dave weckle has really showed me and improved my gifts which God has blessed me wit.....i love all gospel music cuzz i always hear something diffrent which makes me practice even harder.....7
