I never used one,not to say i would not.I think it is mainly used on a acoustic guitar.One reason,they are to frett.

Yeah, I've used one from time to time. More in the studio than live.

I don't make a habit of using them but they can be a useful tool.
Music theory is not always music reality.

I very seldom use it, but when I do, I'm playing a song in F, F#, or G.  When I'm playing high up the neck, I can throw in the deep bass note by hitting my "capo'ed" E-string.

I've noticed that guitarist who tune their boxes to "open E" uses the capo quite often.
