What Type of hardware Ya'll using!!!!!!
« on: March 30, 2006, 11:28:21 AM »
I got a Mapex Qr series drum set(2 years old),  and i recently purchased new pearl hardware, I used to Yamaha hardware) but i purchased the BC-2000 Boom stands, s-2000 snare stand, h-2000 high hat stand, and a c-70 w cymbal stand.

I'm not a big fan of pearl drums :-\, but i admit there hardware is worth the investment.
With the boom stands it has a 360 degree range of motion, anti-rattle ( great for recording),
Just a great product. It's really sturdy and i have my toms mounted on the stands and it does not tilt or lean back, i don't have to strecht the legs, nothing like that. Pearl really did it for themselves!

Pearl 2000 series hardware is at the top with Yamaha and Sonor. I have a Pearl ICON Rack, so cymbal stands aren't necessary. How is the 2000 Snare stand??? I am waiting to jump on that. I have the 2000 hi hat stand and eliminator belt driven single pedal.

Pearl is my fav.

God Bless.

It's good to see that I'm not the only who's bent on ONLY using one brand of hardware. I have no endorsements, so since I ain't gettin' nothin' free. . .my buying is up to me. And just for the record, I use exclusively Pearl, Tama, Yamaha, PDP (straight/boom convertible), CB 700 (snare stand is about 20 years old and still standing strong). I say if it works for you, use it.

Seriously, though, my favorite brand is. . .CHEAP WITH MODERATE DURABILITY!!!!!!! I'm not going to be throwing my stuff around, so it doesn't have to be the heaviest duty equipment. But that's just me.

I have a DW 5000 (two legged) hi-hat stand, 9000 series snare stand and Pearl 1000 series boom stands.

I plan on replacing the boom stands with DW's 9000 series boom stands.   ;D

Get the PEARL ICON Curved Rack!!!! It is so awesome! Very heavy duty, yet light weight enough to move around.

God Bless.
