I was curious as to how everyone else chords their choir voices?? What is the "proper" or "usual" chording of Tenors-Altos-Sopranos??? Let's say you're in the key of C, so the root piano chord is C-E-G or most folk play G-C-E, would those be my choir parts?? G-tenors, C-altos, E-sopranos??? I know there's lots of different ways, I've sung in different choirs as a Tenor but never actually noticed how the director chorded the voices. I've been arguing with my drummer/vocalist on how to harmonize the vocals, he's NEVER sung in any choirs and doesn't really know anything about choir voicing!! We have about 8 or 9 vocalists and a Praise & Worship Leader, none of them have ever really sang in choirs and are clueless to their parts...somebody help!!! I need to set them straight!!! Thanks in advance!! I think we have enough people to "kind of" sound like a choir instead of a bunch of vocalists that have no clue of what they're singing.
Peace.
