man this is funny ive got this pet peve too.... i say if you can play it play it.... if you cant those of you who dont have one, take it from the kids who dont know how to play

there are these two kids at church and they just beet em to death... off beat for that much

so we have been in revival so we got there early and i took about 3 of em and hid them behind the piano... no more playing off beat for the next couple services

and i agree too some dooooo need applications to play the tambourine!!!

hahaha, there is some truth to that sarcasm.  Our church had 4 drummers at one point and I was getting very little seat time.  Our bass player was getting worn out since he was the only one doing all the services, special events, funerals, etc and I could play a little (at the time) so it was a win-win.

I still miss rocking out on the set though :(

Dont tell my mom...shhhhhhh... but she can throw me off so easily. We have a bongo player that do the same thing....

My advise is to TUNE IT OUT!!! lol... I know that is something you heard before, but trust me... When you can concentrate more on what you are doing and focus on the drumming, and less on that tambourine player, the better off you will be... As a musician we all get faced with distractions... But we have to tune it out. Me too, even when it is my mom...lol... :)

We don't have a lot of tamborine playing in my church, but we wo have these 2 sisters that play MARACAS!!  Those things are ANNOYING!!!  They sing in the choir and shake those blasted things ALL SERVICE!!!  It gets on my nerves more than it distracts me and throws me off.  Sometimes i just want to throw my sticks at them and make them stop!!

we tried to hide the bongos.... in the PARKING LOT... but my littles neice said, 'did ya'll kknow thne drums were outside?' and the bongo player took off running to get them.... we does it big at my church... lol...

My 24th Bday last year... I was chillin and they threw that big ole thang on my head.... i was mad, cause a sista is known for the fierce hair cutz... they messed up my do.
