Do you know or have a Pastor that can blow anytime he or she touches the mic?

I know of a couple of pastors that can and that's alway nice to get the word and the pastor end it with song. I have heard other pastors (who couldn't sing) say that pastors only do that when they can't preach...Sounds like a little haterism to me.My experience has been pastors that sing can bring the spirit with the word as well.

My Pastor has a very nice singing voice. He does nothing special, he doesn't ad lib. He voice is ver nice to the ear. He fills in on drums. He has played my bass, 4 string and 5 string, I learned something that day.

Some Pastor's overdo it a little though.  Anytime you hear more than 5 songs in durring one sermon its too much.

Light Of Peace Missionary Baptist Church
Rocky Mount NC

Paster: Dr Lonnie M Braswell

ps.but like Aleanderhowze said: if you hear 5 songs in a sermon by one paster, yea, thats a bit much. 1 ,maybe 2,thats plenty.

My brother (who is my pastor) can SANG!!  He doesn't sing every Sunday before he preaches but most of the time he does and when he does, he tears it up so that he can't get the people to settle down so he can preach.  We consider it a treat to hear him and love it when he sings, especially when we have visitors.  He's also an anointed preacher who will be the guest speaker at the United Holy Church of America Northern District Convocation on Friday, June 9, in Philadelphia this year.

There was a small church here that had few members. They received a new pastor and he could sang and gave great sermons. As a matter of fact he use to sing with a popular group.I forget which group. Well, anyway their congregation began to grow. They had to rebuild because their congregation grew so. Some pastors don't think music is important. I think music can be just as important as the word. Songs also tell a story using the word. Well maybe not as important but important just the same...

It has been my experience that a Pastor that sings and has a real understanding of how important music is...usually doesnt mind spending money to have a top notch sound system.  In the churches that I have sung and played whre the Pastor didnt sing often didint really have a good system  This was usally in some of the smaller churches.  The larger churches usually  understand the importance .
