Worship and praise Chords In the Key Of B and E

Amen.  I put it on and tried to play along shortly after I got it and I was like    lol. 

But it forced me to learn how to play in E Major.  It doesn't hurt that just about every song is somewhere between Good & Great.

I can understand B, but E???

When im on guitar its fine, not when i am on keys. In fact i prefer to play on E rather than play on B when i am on guitar.

I feel you, from what I hear, E seems to feature prominently in guitar, "it's as Db or Ab on the keyboard for gospel musicians"..

I like B because I get to use what I call "hand-slap chords" alot because I just slap(ok, I just lay my hand, i don't fight with the poor board!) all the black notes with my RH whilst holding the B with my LH & I'm sure we all know how sweet that sounds

At 1st, E felt very weird, but I guess I told myself I want to like it since most people have waged some type of war against it..
It feels very natural to play in for me..it's better than D & A 4 me (& 4now).

I wanted to thank T-Block & Ferrente again..i enjoyed playing these..
They seem to have some type of magic in them..
I know asking for chords is not orthordox, but I'm requesting anyway, for my own personal pleasure..That stuff really goes down well..it's like some drop of something sweet is being dropped inside of me when I play...blahblah

Funny enough i prefer to play in A rather than E. When i need to play some Hez Walker, then i stick with A. When i need to play any other slow worship song i stick to Gb. Fast songs are reserved for Db. Weird huh?

I love the way A sounds & it does have a nice feel to it, but I'd have to have practiced a song thoroughly to be confident enough to play hot stuff in front of an audience in that key (for now).

Gb is my default key, so we're on the same page there

Db is also cool for the fast stuff, & I'm not sure whether I prefer Db over Gb or V/v..so that part is not weird

For now, i steer clear of Bb, unless i have to play some Kirk Franklin. Its a difficult key for me to play in. Like you said, Gb is now my default for worship songs. Db is my default for praise or fast songs.

I also steer well clear of D...in fact so do all the musicians at our church . We dont touch D no matter what, its crazy.

I don't mind E for slow songs, it's really nice...I especially like it when I'm resolving to a 2-5-1..but sometimes I hit 1 of the wrong notes if the song is fast because I haven't practiced the fingering as well as I ought to, but it's coming as well.

Since our profiles are so similar, do U think I'm correct in saying that based on the scales you practice in the most, 1 will have a specific preference of other keys above others (Gb & Db ove Bb &D) & people with similar practice habits (perhaps U & me) will shy away from specific keys (because they feel uncomfortable). 

But my goal for the mid-term is to be indifferent about all the keys..the number system is helping me out alot in this regard..

You know fellas, when I see requests like this, it kinda irks me a little.  I mean, every key is supposed to be the same right?  So, why not just ask for worship and praise chords in whatever key, then take those chords and learn them in every key?  I guess maybe that's just me.
