The most powerful song that you ever played.....
« on: August 07, 2006, 10:26:19 PM »
Okay, my fellow LGM brothers and sisters.....

Now, there are some gospel songs that God will use you to play that will really minister to your soul first, and then to those who are listening.  What is the most powerful song that you ever played on a horn/wind instrument?

One of the most powerful songs that the Lord allowed me to play is "For Every Mountain" by Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers -- that song really ministers to me!  My sister actually did a liturgical dance to the track, while I played the alto sax (in the background), during one of our church conferences a few years ago.

What is the most powerful song that God used you to play?  On what horn/wind instrument?

God Bless.

because its public domain, has typical blues changes and its a classic, the horn player and the congregation will get lots of emotion and feeling out of ...... wait for it..........

"Near the Cross"

don't forget.  You can always change the feel up of hyms....raggae, latin (samba), go-go, new jack swing, straight jazz swing.

Holy, Holy, Holy
What a Friend We Have in Jesus
Take care and be blessed!  Ps 16

I have a couple of oldies but goodies that I rely on from time to time.......James Cleveland's Lord Help Me to Hold Out  and I think it's Tremaine Hawkins' Never Alone. Some of you young bucks might not know anything about that. ;)

The most prophetic song would be "Great is thy Mercy" by Donnie M. on my Trombone.
we modulated this song from F to F# to give an even greater impact.
