C Minor Shouting Bass Line
« on: August 26, 2006, 08:10:23 PM »
I am a organ player but i thought i would ask the bass players for this one also...On yesterday i had went to this church in rochester and the guy there was playing this bass line that i never heard before. When i asked him he told me that he played a shout in c minor. i know the C minor  line is C, Eb, F, Gb, G, Bb, and C but does anybody know exactly what order it would be and what it would sound like?
The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.

That's really tough to just know how he was playing it without hearing it but, maybe this is what he was doing:  C, D, Eb, E, F, F#, G, A, Bb, B, C

that's what I'm thinking. especailly since the bassis of shout runs are chromatic runs.
Somebody put me in the key of E#
