first gig
« on: September 03, 2006, 09:41:02 PM »
hey there guys. I've been drumming at school, and temple U for about 5 years but i just started making myself available for gigs. I placed an add and i got a message about a gig at the sands in ac that pays 150. i want to know if that's a nice gig or what. I'm only 17 and this is my first thing. should i travel from philly to ac for that or do you think that its too small of a check to travel that far?

That is a Great gig. And not because your getting paid $150. But because of the experience. But $150 is good :).

We have to start somewhere!
Right now i wouldn't be to  focused on the money, but the exposure is what gets you the gigs.
Once you start getting alot of gigs rolling in then focus on the pay!
Anyways good luck and do your thing on them skinz!
