start somewhere around $450-$500 depending on your choice of lugs, hardware and finish...
Mahogany is a more porous wood and less dense than say maple or oak... Therefore, the higher frequencies tend to be more subdued than a maple snare.
However, being that this is a stave or "block shell", the sound will still pack a nice bite...
