The High Calling - part III

I am still flowing from the thread "set the atmosphere."  There seems to be some concern from you all about certain styles of music and introducing that into the services and how this will affect things in the heavenlies over that service/building.

Chew on this:

1 Samuel 16:15  And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.

2 Chronicles 18:19-22  And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner. Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the LORD said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.

Isaiah 45:7  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

2 Corinthians 5:18  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

I share these scriptures to NOT confuse you but show us that God is in total control of everything.  Yet, on the earth, I know what you're getting at.  It depends on the intent of that musician's/minstrel's heart.  Are they intentionally doing the devil's work unto spellbinding or are they doing this out of ignorance.  If they are laughing about it as some have pointed out, then they are crooked and will get what's coming to them (Galatians 6:7).  It also depends on if that person is trying to entertain, minister, teach, prophesy or praise/worship The Eternal Godhead.  Remember Spirit reproduces Spirit, spirit after spirit and flesh makes flesh.  If there is NOT anointing or Spirit of God dwelling there intensely, then this came from the flesh.  Here's a better example to discern by:

Acts 5:34-39  Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.  After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.  And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

Yet remember that God is doing new things now (Isaiah 43:18-19).  There IS a place in God wherein He will anoint you in the music to take what the devil means for bad and make it work for good (Genesis 50:20) but God has to call, authorize and give this to you to do (John 3:27).  Only by the Lord's Spirit should you do this so you won't get overcome in this (Acts 19:13-16).

One last thing, does that music or the intention of that music produce and yield to the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)?  If not, then it's origins were NOT in that which is Holy!

Blessings!
