Need lyrics
« on: October 16, 2006, 01:35:29 PM »
There is a song i know but I cant think of all the words> Some of the words are... I'Ve been washed in the blood of the crucified one I've been redeemed... Can someone help me to get the rest of it so that it won't bug me in the middle of the night when I am in personal praise and worship? It would be greatly appreciated.

I think the rest is:
the Lord has been so good to me
He's opened doors I could not see
sometimes when I am feeling low
no one to care, not place to go
my father is rich in houses in land
he holds the power of the world in His hands
Power

Only thing I remember is, Bobby Jones & New Life use to sing it on the show when Bev. Crawford was still singing with them.
If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be!!!

I believe the beginning goes something like:

God gave me a song, that the angels cannot sing

Then it goes into I've been washed in the blood.....

KeptbyJesus posted the parts after that

The song is "God Gave Me A Song" by Bobby Jones. Here's the lyrics

http://www.blackgospellyricministry.org/modules.php?name=Lyrics&file=song&c_id=453&highlight=God gave me a song

Black Gospel Lyric Ministry has a good search tool on their site for use. Click on the link that says search lyrics, then you can type in a few of the words you know from a song you're searching for, and if it's in their database, it'll show in the results. You can also use the search by typing in the song title if you know it or the artist's name and it'll show in the results (if it's in the database).

A side note:

The search won't allow contraction words so use other words, so omit them when you're searching. Also, you gotta hit search twice after you typed in the line from a song, if you don't the result won't show.
