I like iTunes, because I've been able to find some old gospel favorites that way (of course, by "old" I'm talking mostly mid-to-late 1990's stuff.
) to add legitimately to my collection in place of songs taped from the radio.
But there are several songs I never learned the artist or title of. Maybe someone here can help me identify the source of these partial lyrics?
SONG 1 (I first heard this back in a '94, '95 Easter service)
"They hung Him high
They stretched Him wide
He hung His head
And then He died
That's love
That's love...
But that's not where
The story ends
For in three days
He rose again
That's love
That's love"
SONG 2 starts something like this:
(chorus)
"Lord, You're holy
You are holy
And we lift You up, and magnify Your Name..."
and ends with a magnificent full-choral vamp (unknown lyrics xxxxxx'd out):
"Wonderful, Counselor, holy and righteous
(xxxxxx xxxxxxxx xx) triumphant and mighty
Healer, deliverer, shield and defense
Strong tower, and my best friend
(xxxxxx xxxxxxxx xx) Soon coming King
Alpha Omega Lord of Everything
Holy, holy, holy is Your Name...."
Thanks in advance for the titles and artists who've recorded these songs.
