do people sing better under pressure?
« on: October 26, 2006, 08:37:57 AM »
Hello, everyone I wanted to ask a question to all of my singers out there , when you are singing in front of the church or where
ever you sing you are so nervous that you hit notes you never thought you can hit, is it just me or do people sing better under pressure?

i disagree because just because you sing doesnt say that you sing under the Anointing. (singers in general)

No.  A little nervousness is good, but too much pressure can make someone mess up.  I think it takes maturity to handle pressure and sing well, regardless.

I feel what you are saying because the fear comes from satan. He wants to choke out the true gift within you to minister in song. Like the brother said it is the anointing that destroys the yoke of fear causing a different sound to come out of you that you've never experienced. The real pickle is when we have this experience will we take credit for it and think that we are all that or do we reamain faithful and humble to the God that showed himself faithful in a moment when we needed him most.

I agree.  One way I can tell its the anointing is if you try and do it again and its a straight MESS!  Ive been able to do things vocally and playing the keys that I would never be able to do on my own.  To take credit for GODs work is very very dangerous.  I by now means think that can minister under my own power.  Its definitely the anointing!

Pressure often brings on the anointing----"crushing".

Cause you let go and say, "God it's on you".  That's when he can REALLY move!
