Something to think about...
« on: February 20, 2007, 12:02:49 PM »
I came across this article that I thought might be useful to those of us in leadership positions within our music departments:

Despite our communication technology, no invention is as effective as the sound of the human voice.

I like that... that's real nice...

I like the way he talked about how the donkey probably felt MIGHTY good at the reception HE thought was all for HIM...

By the way, I tell my choir and praise team concerning selections "I'm in the front seat but I'm not the driver"... translation... our song selections are subject to change without prior warning...

LOL!

Nice stuff...

That's a good article. I will be honest. I am going through the toughest time I have ever had to go through in my ministry right now. Dealing with character issues within the team has been exhausting. I have tried to teach them and to set the example, but some of them just aren't getting it. I am a little frustrated. But I know that what is happening will make me a better leader!(if I can just make it through!)

Talent without character is called a "show".

Thanks, sjon.  My favorite point was "Sometimes we're at our best simply because we spent quality time together."  I'll definitely remember that one with my new choir. :)
