man it's just a 1-4-5 progression....

i'm not being a jerk, i promise you.....but you'll ge alot further in your guitar playing if you take the time to work stuff out on your own. this sin't to say that someone should never ask for help, but it's easy to get by on that and never develop your ear and the ability to hear a song and figure it out for your self.

if it's in G (i can't recall the key we did it in), it would just be G-C-D.....then you just have to figure out the inversions/voicings he's using....

Well he needs to know what a 1 4 5 is first. Easiest way to help someone is to record you playing it then mp3 it. I've done it lots of times. It's usually in G.

Verses:
 G C D C

Chorus:

You cam from heaven to earth etc...
G C D C X2

G              C                   D                     Em7 D          C      Am7    D                          G
From the cross to the grave from the grave to the sky.... Lord i lift your nam on high

i know, that's why i said it was G-C-D in my post.

aslo, the version he is referring to is a little different....doesn't go to the Em7 or the Am7 in the chorus......

Asking for chords is a pet peave of mine.  You'll never be able to figure out songs by yourself if you keep doing it.  But the thing is, you'll never be able to figure out songs by yourself if you dont ask that first time!  If you're unfamiliar with matching chords to what you hear, when someone gives you the correct chords, you go "aha!"

Certain voicings, I'm still glad I can look up.  I learn something new.

agree 1,000,000 percent with spiffy........you'll get better so much faster figuring stuff out for yourself. there are no shortcuts to being good, to developing your ear, it just takes time, patience and alot of hard work. you'll get alot more from taking the time to figure something out for yourself.....

i understand wanting to learn as fast as you can, but you're really hurting your developement by not taking the time to learn to "hear" it on your own.....
